HI,
I am really trying to get my sister to shoot. She lives in Topeka so she is not too far from you. I know many ranges around the country are encouraging women to shoot by offering a free or lowered rates for a ladies night along with free gun rental. Does your club offer that?

I live in Lawrence and have been trying to find a club in the area with a high-power rifle range. Is there a time that your club is open to visitors and I could come check it out?

The gate is open when there is a scheduled event that allows nonmembers in to shoot the event. Trap & skeet shoot on Sat & Sun non members/public welcome. Workday this Sat. 17th till around noon. Good time to check it out.

Hello, I am new to the Topeka area. (just west of town) I have a membership at Kaw Valley Gun Club, but havent really started shooting there much. I am a NRA member, and I actually use to work at a Gun store/Indoor range back in Southern California. Is there any more information I can get about Capital City Gun, to see if I want to join up and pay for the membership. I would like to get started in uspsa, idpa or ipsc. I have spectated but never participated. I would like to get started and meet some new people, as my wife and I are new here and dont know too many folks yet.

Stock 1911, at least 3 magazines plus a 'barney' (an extra which is not used during the Course of Fire) to load a round into the chamber and still have 3 full mags for the stage and a holster. Mag holders are not required but darned handy. We usually don't use more than 100 rounds but how many depends on how many shooters and how many stages we can get through. Here is a link www.doubletapdsc.com/newidpa.htm prepared by different group with some info on what you need to get started. You'll need to attend a Cap City and an IDPA safety briefing before your first match. If you can be there by 5:30pm for your first match that would be great. Hope to see you there!
